Publishing My New Rabbit Hole
Ladies and gentlemen, behold! Well, you can’t really see what I’m looking at right now. It is yet another rabbit hole In burrowing down yet another rabbit hole I have fallen into an underground cavern with all sorts of history and religion books and links.
I am using them to create and publish another book. The paper I write for is publishing my original series as I speak. I’ll put the link below. The topic is the Cristero uprising against the revolutionary Mexican government in the 1920’s and 1930’s.
The story goes that the socialist government tried to suppress Mexican’s religious liberty by closing down the Catholic Church. This was not a popular move, as 95 per cent of Mexico was Catholic at that time.
So, as usual, a socialist government persecuted its citizens in the name of liberty and freedom. The Cristeros were peasants that took exception to their government’s bullying by taking up arms and fighting back.
It is a classic valiant underdog story, minus the fairy tale victory at the end. Life doesn’t work that way. My publisher is releasing the series as I write it, week by week. Please see the link below. another classic underdog story written by me, with the link below. In all modesty I believe the rabbit holes I have fallen into make compelling reading, and are inspirational.
Also inspirational is the day this little blurb is appearing: August 14, the anniversary of my entrance to the Catholic Church, an event that has spurred my writing and cleansed my soul. Amen.
